Pavian workers to be protected by strong industrial relations reforms
Gobblin I, Crown Prince and Duke of Windermere
CaesarBiggles, Duke of Caesaria
The Pavian Government will protect all workers with strong safeguards in recognition that Pavia was built by its workers under new industrial relations reforms announced today.
The changes include a commitment to fair pay, the establishment of a workers’ safety bureau and significant government support for the union movement.
“Workers are the foundation of Pavia”, the Crown Prince said.
“We would not be the cultural and architectural powerhouse we are today without them.”
“That is why the Pavian Government will always negotiate in good faith a fair wage for all work done by Pavian workers.”
WorkSafe Pavia
“Most importantly, we will be setting up WorkSafe Pavia as a key government bureau with a mandate to improve work health and safety and reduce the risk of work-related fatalities, injuries and diseases.”
WorkSafe Pavia will have a broad remit and ample powers enabling it to investigate and prevent workplace injuries.
It will commence consultation on workplace safety standards in the coming week, including on requirements for protective headgear and site safety officers.
Support from dukes
His Grace CaesarBiggles, Duke of Caesaria, the duke responsible for labour gave his strong support for the reforms.
“The Pavian Government has always looked after its workers”, Duke CaesarBiggles said.
“It is one of the reasons why we are the envy of most other nations and see such a steady flow of international workers seeking opportunities in Pavia.”
“I am proud to support the calls of union officials and announce such important reforms.”
All dukes support the reforms and will …
Union thanks government
The announcement follows significant consultation with the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Engineering Union, that engaged with the Pavian Government in the development of these reforms.

“We are pleased to have won such wide-ranging reforms for the benefit of all Pavians.”
“We thank the Pavian Government for the opportunity to represent our members at the table and welcome the agreement to continue to consult with us on all industrial relations matters.”
“We are particularly excited to work closely with WorkSafe Pavia to eliminate workplace incidents and ensure every worker gets home safely.”
